I have to ask; was this result really surprising?
And do you honestly think that just because a majority want something you should use that as your justification for giving it to them, particularly when PvEers are concerned. I'm talking more generally here, not just about the issue at hand, but you've set a rather disconcerting precedent here I think.

a dream come true
i cant wait... i can (barely) wait
i'd do zaishen quests and wanteds some more
also i'd like to try rotscale on HM and oola's lab, both NM and HM
then vq proph (and continue my explore there) and after that i'll have to make more plans, i think cantha vbq for kurzick faction, as i want an elite kurz armor for my mesmer (with the pink dyes)
after i heard this ingame, i was so happy, i couldnt breathe for a moment
also, after i did fow with Ling (you know him as runner here), i saw it wasnt that hard with 2 discord teams (2 of us and 6 heroes) and now thx to him, i'd like to practice there
first kill some enemies, then do the quests
Anet, thx a huge lot, now if i can get my paysafecard to work i buy another char slot, and make another char which can enjoy 7 heroes
i hope nothing will be in the way to do this, and nice to see everything is going much better than certain times (not gonna recall them)
once its here, i'll enjoy this game so much, that i'll forget i got a wii with games on it
freedom + GW, thats a lot of love for 1 game
thanks again
EDIT:
oh and 5.7% dont like it? i think those are leaving gw after they filled their HoM and got highest titles like GWAMM and done 50/50 on the calculator

The entire Prophecies & Factions campaign(s); as I have yet to do either on my Dervish.
Then hopefully Sorrow's and DoA. God this is gonna rock!

Embark Beach sounds great, a much better way of organizing PUGs and allowing those who want to play with others a good chance of finding a group.
As for me, I play rarely and at odd times, so being able to use 7 heroes will be great for finally getting to try out the EotN dungeons and WiK quests

For those bitter folks claiming that full hero parties are easy mode, keep in mind heroes are no replacement for real players, they are replacements for henchmen. A hero is no match for a real player.
Bad players will still continue to be bad, it just allows greater options for those who want to customize their party, and more importantly not be stuck with below level henchmen.

My guess is not until the second part of WiK is released when they introduce the beginnings of the Canthan chapter.
But who knows, maybe we'll get lucky and they have been working on it for a little while now.

I need the Urgoz statue so it'll make that slightly easier to do.

Would you like to have 50 ectos for free?
Yes/No
That's about how I interpreted this question. Game balance shouldn't be decided by the whims of the masses. Hell, "we" wanted shadow form farming and speed runs. Don't listen to us A.net. We are idiots.

Honestly, I'm more excited about Embark Beach than the 7 hero parties....but I'm still very excited about that. As for specific mission that I'll do with 7 heroes, well, there's always stuff like BLA and Eternal Grove. The rest of my excitement comes from just being able to screw around with an entire team build.
Blog's still not working though.
As for "don't listen to the masses"...feh. This isn't a "let's make everyone rich" update that'll severely destabilize the economy, not even close (not even compared to Ursanway or SF, let alone 50 free ectos). Good players are already doing basically everything with H/H, and bad players still won't be able to succeed. All I see here is giving us something that will increase the lifetime and enjoyment of the game more than any other "simple" (read: non-content) update could hope to. As such, it's a smart idea at this time, with GW2 around the corner and massive numbers of old and new players flooding the game.

i so agree. if people hate the more heros then dont use them. lord knows i hate mox and the sin heros so i dont use them. this will allow me to do stuff i always wanted to do without having to wait for help. but people will still have to have help with elite areas and other things. as the poster said, bad players will still be bad. and lazy people will still hire runners.

Just because a lot of people want something, it doesn't make it a good idea.
So which do you guys think we will get first? A ton of nerfs because people figured out how to clear elite areas in 30 mins with a full hero group or the dervish update?

Have to say I agree with this post. I don't see how it can really make things worse at this point however. Players who prefer the AI aren't going to group either way unless the content demands it and those who don't most likely still will.

I can record Kanaxai's, Mallyx's, Urgoz's, etc armor ratings! Better start buying major vigors now...4 more for each character.

FoW can be completed with 2 accts easy enough. But I'm excited to try UW, and finally clear out this 'Waiting Game' quest.
DoA should be fun but hopefully there will be some sort of party formation option.

Embark Beach seems like the perfect solution to the inevitable "OMG, 7 heroes killed PUGs!" complaints.
I'm actually more excited about that than the 7 heroes, which really won't alter my gameplay too much, other than letting me finally figure out the Underworld for myself.
